Leadership
I am a visible leader showing children, staff and families I care and I am curious and interested in them and our school.

As an educational leader my bottom line is children’s learning. While people, planet and profit are important children’s learning must be the number one focus. I am a passionate and focused leader who empowers children, staff, the board and community to reflect, respond and develop a positive community that is focused on children’s learning.

Empowerment as part of a school culture is developed by providing opportunities for everyone to excel with a clear direction and high expectations. I create an empowering culture by listening to others and ensuring they are heard, setting a vision and direction for the school and working with others to put this into place. I encourage risk-taking and innovation through shared leadership resulting in action. By developing a school where everyone is a leader, the community develops strategies and processes to make the school a dynamic and uplifting environment of learning linked to the school vision.

I am a visible leader showing children, staff and families I care and I am curious and interested in the school. Being visible involves a presence in classrooms to visit children, showing interest in teachers’ practices, classroom observations and coaching for staff and children. Being present for families is also key especially at key times through the day - arrival and collecting time!

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which this website was created, the land of the Whadjuk Noongar Boodja people. I acknowledge learning, story telling and education has occurred on this land for over 60,000 years. I pay my respects to the past and present elders of this country.
